Makina Watches
Presentation of Makina Watches
Makina means machine - derived from the Spanish word maquina. Makina is born in the Philippines. As a filipino watch brand, we are committed to putting out only eccentric and unconventional designs providing the watch industry bold alternatives since 2017. Fortunately, our timepieces have gained award recognition from design organizations like The International Design Awards, European Product Design Awards, Muse Design awards, New York Product Design Awards, London Design Awards, London International Creative Compeition and others. Our work has been featured regionally and internationally in publications like Esquire, Monochrome Watches, Time & Tide Watches, Worn & Wound, Oracle Time, ABS-CBN, Manila Times and others. All models are conceptualized, designed, engineered and assembled in the Philippines with parts manufactured in Manila and Hong Kong, under Makina & Co. We use Swiss made movements (Sellita) used by other luxury brands.
History of Makina Watches
Founded in 2017
Ever since our release of Makina Uriel III, a pulsometer watch, our brand has attracted doctors from all over the country and has opened up opportunities to work with the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, Philippine General Hospital and Philippine Heart Center. We've done collaborations with the international brand Altria and Megaworld International. Makina, the Filipino microbrand, has been invited to take part in shows produced by the nation's largest entertainment network, ABS-CBN. Our watches can be seen in all 32 episodes of the hit series "The Flower of Evil" starring Filipino A-list celebrities. And now in 2024, we're supplying watches to yet another TV series that is currently in production.
